I have more than 20 years of experience working as a licensed clinical social worker supporting adolescents, families and children from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My private practice has always been located inside a school which has also allowed me the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of professionals to help reduce barriers and encourage personal growth for youth and families. My approach is strengths based, client centered and rooted in developing relational skills and positive interpersonal connections. I strive to provide a safe and warm therapeutic environment to help facilitate the change process.
I consider myself a generalist social worker and have worked with those experiencing depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, ADHD in children, major family disruption/adjustment, obsessions and compulsions, trauma and attachment and grief and loss. I draw from a variety of clinical perspectives and treatment modalities to address these needs which include: Relational Therapy, Solution Focused Tx, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Expressive/Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems and Trauma Informed-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My goal is always to empower others to develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience and independence, and break down barriers in their lives so they can reach their fullest potential.​​
